Why am I finding negative reviews of GiftYa?

We always appreciate honest feedback about GiftYa and encourage our customers to reach out to us with any problems they may encounter when purchasing gift cards online. “Why are you asking for my credit card information for a gift card. This is a scam!”

The most common misconception is that a GiftYa is a typical gift card and we are not a typical gift card company. A GiftYa is not a physical card, a GiftYa is the next-generation gift. We know that people may be hesitant to adapt to this new technology, but do you remember the first time you heard of streaming Netflix? Or paying someone through Venmo? Now we can't imagine life without that technology. You are simply discovering the newest, improved gifting experience that uses our proprietary card-linking technology to make the overall gifting experience better than it has ever been before.

Card-linking technology is simple. Rather than digging through your wallet or email inbox for a gift card, simply linking the gift to a credit or debit card is the safest way to always make sure you have access to your gift, and it can never be lost or stolen. If you received a GiftYa, simply use your debit or credit card at the time of purchase, and GiftYa credits your card with the amount you spent. “I couldn't get ahold of anyone on the phone”

GiftYa began as a very small team with only one person working on the Customer Service team. Since then we have experienced tremendous growth, and as a result of that we had to rely on third-party call centers to take calls from customers while we worked on hiring internal Customer Service Representatives. This decision to rely on a third-party unfortunately led to some missed calls and unhappy customers.

We value our customers and are proud to now have a team of 12 full-time Customer Service Representatives, and we no longer use a third-party call center. Our team provides 24 hour coverage across the United States, fast response times, and friendly people on the line ready and willing to answer any question you may have.
